When will my baby sign back to me?

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

The average baby is physically able to make the signs when she is around 6 months old but it might be two to three months before she actually signs.  However, your baby will understand and respond to your signs long before she can sign herself.

When can I begin to sign?

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

You can begin to sign with your baby from birth – in fact, the earlier the better as it becomes a natural part of your communication

What are the benefits of baby signing?

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

It reduces the need for your baby to have to cry or point to get his or her message across.
It reduces frustration for both babies and parents.
It strengthens the bond between you and your baby – and happier babies mean happier parents.

bamba_landingHappy New Year to all our bloggers and customers

As you’ll know using gestures with your baby is simple and fun so keep it up through 2010 and let us know your success stories.

Don’t forget to send us photos if you’d like them to be up-loaded to the site.

If you’re new to baby signing then the benefits are:
signing promotes talking skills – signing babies typically speak earlier
it promotes understanding of spoken language – you sign and speak simultaneously. Baby sees and hears what you are communicating.
it promotes play and interaction.

Bamba’s First Comforts are fun and educational. They’re great for busy parents and are designed for quick and easy start up.

Keep signing and let us know how you get on.

Ideal Baby Signing Gift

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

A baby signing kit which allows you and your baby to learn baby signing at home
from the award winning Baby Sign Factory.

Talking Tots have published the following Review:

“We’ve decided to share with you some of our very favourite toys to help develop communication skills in young children and babies – starting with Bamba’s First Comforts, a baby signing kit that allows you and your baby to learn signing at home.

Made by the award-winning Baby Sign Factory, this kit is absolutely beautifully made and presented in a gorgeous printed box, making it an ideal present for a new Mum. Even better, the kit helps to encourage key early vocabulary by using plush toys to teach basic skills. The adorable Bamba monkey will also encourage imaginative play, and the whole kit is so tactile, we think babies won’t be able to resist getting their hands on it.”

Let us know your thoughts. If you’d like to know more about Bamba’s First Comforts and want to see what other people have said then go to http://www.babysignfactory.com/reviews.html

Use the baby signs on the lid of Bamba’s First Comforts

Monday, March 30th, 2009

bambas-first-comforts-baby-signing-kitRemember your baby may make his own version of the gestures – this is fine. Let your baby sign their own gesture and sign the correct sign as per the lid on Bamba’s First Comforts back to him. Just model the correct sign so that your baby can see it again and has another opportunity to copy it.

It’s all about you and your baby having fun together with your new skill.

Several studies have shown that children receive numerous benefits when they learn sign language from an early age. Some of these benefits include:  saying those first words earlier and better understanding of spoken language.
